Part of a larger whole.

The modern art project “therefore I am” with Erik Binder.

From 18 to 21 July 2011, an art event of unprecedented dimensions and unlike anything done before took place in the storied rooms of what used to be the largest bread factory in Europe, Ankerbrot Wien: the art project “therefore I am” initiated by Think!

Over 2,200 (!) medium-sized stretched canvases were assembled to create a huge canvas – which was not to remain untouched for long.

In cooperation with Erik Binder, one of the leading figures in modern European graffiti painting, and PERFEKT WORLD, an up-and-coming group of artists from the Viennese street art scene, the oversized creative surface (2.75 metres high and 50 metres wide) was transformed into a colourful, individual, multifaceted, unique work of art in a group performance lasting several days.

The picture was then split back up into its thousands of individual canvases, and all (!) of the Think! shoe partners around the world received one of the canvases along with the current Think! collection catalogue.

This means that every Think! partner not only possesses illustrations of the latest works of shoe art by Think! but also owns part of an irretrievable, one-of-a-kind work of art.
